Seller handbook

Everything you need to maximize your domain portfolio's return on EuroDomains.

1. Getting started

Sign up for a free account, verify your email, and complete KYC if you plan to list a portfolio above €10k. KYC verification typically takes under 24 hours and unlocks the 5% premium tier.

2. Pricing your domain

Look at comparable sales on NameBio. For brandable .coms, anchor at €1,500–€5,000 with offer-acceptance. For premium 1-word .coms, anchor higher with Buy Now. For ccTLDs (.de, .fr), expect 30–60% of equivalent .com prices.

3. Choosing modes

Buy Now: fastest sale, lowest price negotiation. Offer: best price discovery, longer sales cycle. Auction: maximum velocity when you have a clear deadline. You can enable Buy Now + Offer simultaneously, but Auction is exclusive.

4. Ownership verification

DNS TXT is fastest (under 5 minutes). Nameserver change verifies within 4 hours of DNS propagation. We re-verify weekly; if your domain expires or moves to another owner, the listing is auto-paused.

5. Negotiating with buyers

Respond within 24 hours to keep your listing's response-rate badge. Counter-offers are binding for 7 days. Use our chat — every message is logged for dispute protection. Off-platform deals violate our terms and forfeit escrow protection.

6. Transferring the domain

For .com / .net: generate an EPP/auth code at your registrar, paste it into our portal, share it with the buyer. For ccTLDs: each TLD has its own flow — we document the major ones in your dashboard. Status is tracked at every step.

7. Getting paid

After buyer confirms (or 14-day auto-release), funds split atomically: your payout, our commission (5–10%), VAT. Withdraw to SEPA (free, 1–3 days), IBAN (free, 1–3 days), or wire (free, same-day if before 12:00 CET).

8. Tax handling

We generate a self-billing invoice for each sale (B2B) or a buyer-facing invoice (B2C). VAT is itemized per EU OSS rules. Sellers outside the EU get the gross amount; income tax is your jurisdiction's responsibility.
